Rachel Day was born a dual citizen in San Jose, Costa Rica to Illinois resident Mike day and his beautiful Costa Rican wife, Noribette, a year after their wedding. Since then, Rachel has traveled with her parents and three younger brothers to many places in the United States and Costa Rica—she has moved into 32 different homes in her life and has met thousands of different people with different cultures and lifestyles. All of this thanks to the career she was born into.
Rachel’s parents are the national directors for a children’s organization, Awana International (www.awana.org ), Rachel actively worked with her parents under this organization and various others and continues to do so as this is an area with which she is passionate about.
Rachel started reading when she was four years old and writing when she was seven. She has written and published scores of poems, short stories, and essays. In addition, she has published several books including The Strongest Man in the World: Stories of Inner Conflict found at http://stores.lulu.com/rachelsyesterday .
She is in the process of publishing her latest work, I, a Renegade Scion, a science-fiction unique from all others.
In addition, Rachel is currently preparing for college where she will be a pre-medicine student majoring in Biology, as a minor in Chemistry. Her ultimate purpose is to become an OBGYN or pediatrician to work in the rural areas of Red China.
She has self-taught herself the basics of Mandarin-Chinese. Also, she plays the saxophone and violin. Photography, crafts, sewing, DIY projects, debating, researching, and painting/drawing are among her hobbies. Of course, Rachel’s pastimes are reading and writing.
Her greatest strength and greatest weakness is the same: “I’m a stubborn perfectionist.”
When asked about success Rachel Ann Day says, “Always do the truly right thing and you’ll be eternally successful.”
